Workshop 11:
Breathwork and Liberated Movement
We’re getting weirder! This week we explore how to get out of our heads and into our liberated pleasure. We all the know the mind can be a real drag when it comes to being present with pleasure. So in this workshop I offer practical tools for leaving your mind behind and getting down and dirty with your body’s instincts.
HomePlay Assignment:
1) These practices require repetition to get the hang of. These may not feel good or helpful the first few times you try them. It’s okay if this feels clunky, uncomfortable or awkward. It’s new! Every time will be different and interesting. Set aside 10-30 minutes this week to practice Connected Breathing, Liberated Movement or both. Take it at your own pace and listen to your body. If your body wants to keep going, go! If you’re body has had enough or is starting to feel short of breath or in pain of any kind, return to normal breathing and resource yourself. Use music to enliven the experience! As long as you are being safe with your body, there is no right or wrong way to do this.
